Cornton has had a few industrial developments over the years. The earliest of these is arguably the business based at what was Bridgehaugh Farm where Thomas Raines and his son hired out Steam Traction Engines and Threshing Machines. (See Bridgehaugh Farm).

This photograph is of the Limmer & Trinidad operation that was established in Bridgehaugh but on the Rugby Club side of the Railway. The brick building on the left as you pass through the tunnel is all that remains of that particular Industry.

This 1948 Ordnance Survey Map identifies the business as “Asphalt Works”
