Haugh Road

Round about the time that the Prefabs were being completed Haugh Road was being developed, along with 26 – 36 Cornton Road. It is shown for the first time on the 1948 Ordnance Survey Maps.

Haugh Road was built utilising terraced two storey dwellings with access passages through the blocks for the rear gardens of the centre houses.

The first house in Haugh Road was the bungalow on the left at No 1 built in 1926. The numbers of the remaining houses are consecutive and clockwise in order ending at No. 29 which is the first on the right as you enter Haugh Road. Facing it across the road is number 30, a bungalow which was built in the rear garden of 44 Cornton Road in the 1970s.
