175 & 177 Causewayhead Road

The two properties at 175 & 177 Causewayhead Road immediately on the right hand side of the road after crossing north on the new bridge are the product of a sale in November 1973 when British Railways Board disponed to John Tainch 0.21 acres of ground.

Copy of the plan attached to the most recent disposition of No. 177 Causewayhead Road.

It would appear that the said John Tainch then developed the land with a pair of semi-detached houses.

Stirling Building Standards Archives for the period are sadly depleted so not a lot of accurate information can be gleaned apart from the above information which is contained in the information available from the Registers of Scotland.

Scrutiny of the Valuation Roll for 1988-89 reveals that, at that time, 175 was owned and occupied by Ellis and Elizabeth Williams while 177 was owned and occupied by Antony Reb whose registered address is in Keswick!
