While Dr. Michael (Mick) Kelly was a resident of Raploch, he cycled to Cornton regularly to tend to his pigs at his Piggery on the Cornton Road.

Doctor Kelly served as Dean of Guild from 1958-1964 and as Provost of Stirling 1964-1967.
Dr. Michael Kelly O.B.E., F.E.I.S., K.St.G., J.P. died 18th November 1991, 3 days after his 89th birthday, having served on Stirling Town Council, Stirling County Council and Central Regional Council for 48 years.
